Security Self Storage

Insure Your Goods in Storage - The items you place in self-storage spaces are the sole responsibility of you, their owner. These items are not insured by this storage facility. Your storage consultant can provide you the names of insures able to provide insurance for your goods.

Prohibited Storage Goods – Common sense and state law determines what may be stored in your unit. You alone control access to your storage space; therefore, never store live animals, perishables, fuels, explosives, or other items that need a controlled environment. Fuel must be drained from engines before storing in our facility.

Fill Containers to Their Capacity – Bulging cartons or partially full boxes will likely top or collapse. Protect your fragile goods with packing paper or bubble-wrap and place them near the top of your storage space. Heavy items on bottom for 35 lb. edge crush base – then build up with lighter items.

Label Your Boxes – Keep a master list of labeled boxes at your home or office for easy reference when you need to locate your goods, especially if more than one person has access to the unit.

Pack the Storage Space Carefully – Leave air space all around the perimeter to aid in ventilation. Our walls are all ribbed to aid in this. Leave a walkway to the rear of your space for easy access. Use all the space available, including the nearly 10’ height and place frequently used items toward front or aisle. Use heavy items as a base, and then stack up. A well-packed storage unit has air flow all around items. Free pallets available for air circulation if needed.

What Packing Accessories do you Need? – Packing paper, bubble-wrap, rope, tape, dish and glass packs, furniture covers, and several sizes of storage boxes are available in the rental office. Wardrobe boxes, markers, and secure locks are also available. All boxes are commercial grade and pre-labeled for easy marking.
